I have imagined this moment for a long time.
In my imagination, the shop would open with everything perfectly in place. There would be plenty of products, a full content calendar, active social media pages, regular YouTube videos, beautiful product photography, and every little detail checked off my list.
That isn't quite how it happened.
And I decided that was okay.
Sometimes You Have to Start Where You Are
As I was really beginning to ramp up my plans for Pheynessa Daye Gifts, life became difficult in ways I hadn't anticipated.
At the same time, I was working full-time while trying to create products, develop ideas, build a website, learn the business side of running a shop, and figure out how to turn this vision into something real.
Things slowed down.
My social media became quiet. My YouTube channel became quiet. Some of the products I wanted to have ready for opening day are still ideas, sketches, prototypes, or works in progress.
For a while, I kept thinking I needed to get everything just right before I opened.
More products, more content, more preparation, and more polish.
But eventually I had to ask myself: If I keep waiting for perfect conditions, when will I actually begin?
So I made a decision to start where I am.
A Small Beginning With a Big Vision
Pheynessa Daye Gifts is starting small.
Right now, you'll find a growing collection that includes stationery, wax melts, faith-inspired journals, graphic T-shirts and hoodies.
But what you see today isn't everything Pheynessa Daye Gifts is meant to become.
I have plans for more journals and notebooks, graphic apparel, perfumes, body butter bars, keychains, phone straps, clay charms, sticker sheets, hair accessories, wax melts, original art prints and other creations that haven't made their way out of my imagination just yet.
Some will be handmade by me. Some will feature my original designs. And some may surprise you.
That's part of the fun.
Instead of waiting until I could show you a finished version of Pheynessa Daye Gifts, I've decided to invite you into the process.
You'll get to watch it grow.
Gifts With Joy, Made With Faith
My Christian faith is at the foundation of Pheynessa Daye Gifts.
Christ comes first here, and that will influence the way I operate this business, the things I create and the way I communicate.
But I also want to make something very clear:
You do not have to be a Christian to shop at Pheynessa Daye Gifts.
You are welcome here.
Some products will openly celebrate Christian faith and Scripture. Others may simply be colorful, artistic, fragrant, playful, beautiful or a little unexpected.
I don't believe those things have to compete with one another.
I want Pheynessa Daye Gifts to be a business characterized by hope and joy.
Because of my faith, there are certain directions I won't take the brand. You won't find products or marketing built around vulgarity, sexually explicit themes, or messages that glorify things that conflict with the values behind this business.
But what I hope you will find is:
- Creativity
- Color
- Beauty
- Humor
- Encouragement
- Thoughtfulness
And gifts that make you think of someone you love or decide to treat yourself.
I'm Building This in Real Time
One thing I've decided is that I don't want to hide the unfinished parts anymore.
So you'll probably see some of them.
You may see products being developed, artwork in progress, packaging decisions, experiments that work beautifully and others that send me straight back to the drawing board.
You'll see new items gradually appear in the shop.
You'll see my social media pages wake back up.
And yes, my YouTube channel too.
I may not always have everything figured out before I share it.
That's intentional.
Pheynessa Daye Gifts is a real small business being built by a real person while real life continues to happen.
There is something meaningful about allowing the beginning to actually look like a beginning.
